CFA Lawn Bowls Fundraiser

The Phillip Island Bowls Club in conjunction and support from the Phillip Island RSL, conducted a Lawn Bowls Pairs event over 6 weeks before Christmas. The concept was to have 12 teams competing every Wednesday night with raffle money and entry fees being donated to the CFA building project.
The Phillip Island RSL were extremely keen to participate in the event and to assist with the fund drive.
Many thanks must go to Jess Feather from the RSL who was an integral part to support the fund raising event from it’s infancy and to George Mol, from the PIBC, who created the idea and administered the event.
The first community pairs event was won by Errol Bradford and Peter Carter, from the PIBC.
The Phillip Island Bowling Club and RSL see this as a method for further cross community fund raising and hopefully get all clubs and associations involved, while having some fun and games.
